Why this place is so out of the way and receives so few reviews, I'll never know. Aladdin Food Express is a bit out of the way for most Fort Wayners (or... well, anybody, tbh), yet it's easily the best Indian AND Burmese restaurant in town. This is not hyperbole: The cantina serves two different menus, one Indian and one Burmese, each handled by a chef from their respective country. It's basically two restaurants in one. (One time, the Indian chef went on vacation while the Burmese chef was still working, so we couldn't have our fix of Butter Chicken.) The Indian chef also looks like he could be our prof. Eh, question his life decisions all you want. We have many profs, but only one Aladdin. So how does Aladdin taste? Amazing, actually. Even the fried chicken is good, and I heard a couple folks order the pizza. Y'know, just in case you brought that new friend from work along and they couldn't stand this ethnic food. This fried chicken is Indian-spiced so it's not as famous as Lee'...

Hole in the wall atmosphere in the remnants of restaurant culture from yesteryear. Brilliant food please see my photos. I ordered the lamb shank biryani. I want to eat it every day. I wasn’t provided with a knife because the meat fell away from the bone. Speaking of the bone, I was able to squish and squeeze and suck the bone marrow from both ends. Biryani rice was complex and aromatic. I shared my leftovers with my roommate who was left in the same indulgent haze as I. My partner ordered a soup whose broth can only be described as healing. Spicy but not hot. Brilliant. Do not miss. I’ll be back with more friends too.

The food is great. Everything is made fresh when ordered. The food is served hot and fresh. The staff always takes the time to answer any questions about the menu choices. I did not feel like I had to rush my questions or rush to order. The dining room is clean and well lit with great art work hanging on the walls. If I were to name a down side it would be they serve hamburgers, hotdogs and french fries but no onion rings. I would love to see onion rings added to the menu. All and all this restaurant is a breath of fresh air for this side of town. I hope people support this restaurant and help it grow. It would be great to see such strong support that in a year or so down the road, they add a lunch buffet. I know I will be back, there is so much on the menu that I would like to try.
